The boys soccer team practices for the season. They are full of optimism for the post-season. |
After a season record of 16-3-4, and going to the Ohio Division 3 State Finals, the boys soccer team is trying to prepare themselves for the future.
Last year the boys lost six seniors, but they are attempting to go back to the state finals again. Head coach Matthew Britton shared his thoughts for this season. Britton said, “The expectations are high for this season. With many of our seniors graduating, we are relying on the returning members and the new ones to do their part. “ |
After the season the boys had last year, senior captain Savvas Pizanias is excited for what is to come.
“We have to work even harder to reach our goal for the state finals this year, and that includes everyone doing their part,” Pizanias said. With patience and teamwork. We will be able to accomplish it.”
New members of the soccer team are excited to play this season. Freshman Garrett Bogan expressed his enthusiasm.
“I am excited to be on the team,” Bogan said. “After many years of watching the team play and even go to state last year, I’m excited to now be a part of that experience.” With the regular season ending soon, the boys are hoping to play well for the rest of their games and throughout the postseason in order to go to Columbus again! |
