The leaves are changing to shades of crimson, the temperature is dropping, and darkness is arriving earlier in the evening. The wait is officially over. October is here, and Halloween is right around the corner. The Beakon staff is here to give you a list of spooky movies to watch this season.
1. Coraline

Coraline tells the story of a little girl that discovers a hidden room that leads to a parallel universe. It creepily mimics her real life, and Coraline uses this as an escape from reality. Shortly, life is turned upside down when she realizes that she is being trapped.
Elise Johnson, a senior, said, “ I liked the plot of the story a lot. I think it was very creative and unique. I also loved the animation of the film with the colors that added to the movie's creepiness.” |

RELEASE DATE : SEPTEMBER 28, 2012
Hotel Transylvania tells the classic tale of the vampire and human love story. Transylvania is a resort created by Count Dracula. It offers monsters an escape from reality without humans bothering them. The story is turned upside down when a human named Jonathan finds the resort and falls in love with Dracula's daughter, Mavis. Hotel Transylvania makes a great watch for a family fun night.
