It’s that time of year again! No, not Christmas or summer vacation, but spring break! We’re going to take a look at all the top-rated spring break vacation spots, with data collected straight from students. A poll was sent out asking students in multiple high schools about their thoughts on vacationing over spring break, and their favorite places to travel. Whether it be local or a place only accessible by boat, we were curious to see the results. |

Over 30 students were asked whether they liked to travel for spring break, or preferred to stay home. A resounding majority (over 83%) stated that they enjoyed going on vacation for spring break. Of course, traveling somewhere is more about the destination than the journey itself, especially if that place is a beautiful pristine beach.
In that very same poll, participants named their favorite spot to go vacationing. As expected, Florida/Siesta Key took the majority of the votes, with over 10 responses. This was the favorite among those polled, but let’s reaffirm why that may be.
If you're familiar with Cardinal Mooney’s unofficial spring break tradition, quite a few people from almost every grade travel to Siesta each year for spring break. The ability to hang out with your friends outside of school and on the beach is a definite plus, and in the responses shared by some users, it seemed that the social impact was the main reason Siesta was regarded so fondly. It’s not very often you get to travel to a destination with friends, especially while in high school. Not only is the location stunning, (and typically caters to spring break travelers) but the memories many make with friends while in Siesta may lead to the location being remembered more fondly than other places.

One common factor observed in the data was that everyone who shared a location typically had some form of emotional connection to the place listed. It’s clear that while the view may be beautiful, it’s the memories that make a destination great. Final Advice: If you’re looking for a place to travel to during spring break, remember it’s the experiences that shape the view of the location. So go make some memories! |
