The Cardinal Mooney class of 2022 is finally graduating, and we asked 19 class memebers for their memories and advice.
Many seniors have noted lunch, sports, and friendships as the highlight of their career. Seniors Sharlie Stewart, Angelina Rotunno, Tyler Hayes, Alaina Scavina, Zach Hryb, Edward Driscoll, and Natalie Femia all recognized the fall sports seasons, and its surrounding events, as their favorite memories.

“Sophomore year we swept Ursuline in Basketball, and that was really fun, just being in the student sections. Everyone was going crazy. We stormed the court,” Driscoll said.
Hayes agreed, “My favorite memory was beating Boardman freshman year. It was like a last second win.” |
Senior Olivia DeCesare reminisced on Jimmy Clacko buying a tray of cookies, and the water gun fights the seniors have had.
This year's prom queen, Senior Leonda Whatley, claimed her senior prom was the memory she would cherish most from Cardinal Mooney. The 2021 prom princess, Savanna VanSuch, agrees.

“Senior prom weekend, dancing and hanging out with my friends was really fun,” VanSuch said.

Many seniors recognized the importance of the role they play as the school's leaders. Whatley advised the upcoming senior class to prepare to be good role models for the school.
The most recurring advice from the seniors was to the entirety of the underclassmen: enjoy high school while it lasts.

Senior Alaina Scavina said, “For me personally I was so like 'oh it's not going to go that fast. I have so much time- but then my senior year I realized that I need to make up for everything because it does go that fast. Just literally have fun your entire time and don’t be serious about everything.”

DiVencenzo agrees, and advises students to find a healthy balance between your school work and time for memories. Senior Alyssa Rapp emphasized the importance of keeping this balance all the way through your senior year.
“You don’t want your grades to drop,” Rapp said. “You could miss your college experience.”
All of the seniors thanked their family, friends and teachers for helping them through high school.
